Product Description
SAME MAURTEN. DIFFERENT TASTE.
Going long means eating and drinking the same thing. A lot. Eventually, even the fuel you normally love can become hard work.
Maurten Addition Cola is designed to give your palate a reset without changing your fuelling strategy.
Add one sachet to Maurten Drink Mix 160, Drink Mix 320 or Gel Mix 480 to introduce a Cola flavour while maintaining compatibility with Maurten's Hydrogel Technology.
It's particularly useful during long training sessions, ultras, marathons and big race days where flavour fatigue can make it harder to keep taking on the carbs you've planned.
Same fuel strategy. Fresh taste. Keep eating.

The Science
The Science
CHANGE THE FLAVOUR. NOT THE FUEL.
Maurten Addition Cola is about sensory variety rather than adding more carbohydrate. It is designed to flavour compatible Maurten fuel while leaving the underlying fuelling strategy intact.
That matters more than it sounds. During long events, repeatedly consuming the same sweet taste can become less appealing — commonly described as flavour or sensory fatigue. Giving the palate another option can make a planned fuelling intake easier to maintain without rebuilding the whole nutrition plan halfway through an ultra.
Maurten's core Drink Mix system uses alginate and pectin in its Hydrogel Technology. Addition is designed to work within that ecosystem rather than turning your carefully mixed bottle into a science-fair volcano.
Same numbers. Different taste. Your tastebuds get a costume change.
How To Use
How To Use
Prepare your Maurten Drink Mix 160 or Drink Mix 320 as normal and make sure the powder has completely dissolved.
Add one Maurten Addition Cola sachet, shake again and you're ready to go.
One Addition sachet is designed for one 500ml Maurten Drink Mix, although you can use less or more depending on how strong you like the flavour.
Maurten Addition can also be used with Gel Mix 480.
